Warren Hillukka

Warren Arthur Hillukka, 58, of Pembina, ND passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at his home in Pembina. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pembina Community Center in Pembina. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the community center. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Pembina Ambulance Service.

Warren was born November 27, 1960, in Park Rapids, MN, to Edwin and Sylvia (Samuelson) Hillukka. Warren graduated from Patrick Henry High School where he was active in baseball and basketball. After high school he graduated from Wadena Tech, and began a 30-year career with Otter Tail Power Company. On January 21, 1984, Warren married Joy E. Lee.

Warren was very active in Pembina, where he served as mayor for 20 years. Some of the things he enjoyed was coaching his children in baseball, softball, and basketball, he also enjoyed sharing his wisdom. Warren had a passion for traveling, cooking, and spending time with his family.

Survivors include Joy Hillukka; adoring children: Larissa Hillukka (Eckhard Koehler), Alison (DeWilliam) Moore, and Alex Hillukka; beloved grandchildren: Trevor Hillukka-Moore, Tavian Moore, and Cierrah Anderson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kelsey Kay; granddaughter, Kaira Luna; brother, Wilfred; and father-in-law, Robert F. Lee.
