Vicki Jo Cook, 62, of Cavalier, ND passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019 at the Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, January 25, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Boniface Catholic Church, Walhalla, ND. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 24th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. vigil service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Faith in Action.

Vicki Jo Menier was born March 16, 1956 at Cavalier, ND to Joseph and Cecelia (Dease) Menier. She grew up in Walhalla and graduated from Walhalla High School.

On November 23, 1974, she married David Cook at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Walhalla. After their marriage they lived in the Walhalla area, where they raised their family. Vicki worked at Motor Coach Industries for several years before attending Northland Technical College in East Grand Forks, MN. She then worked at the Kittson County Memorial Hospital, Hallock, MN until the loss of her sight. Vicki was then active in Faith in Action and recently served on their board.

Things Vicki enjoyed were listening to music, reading, baking, crocheting. She was always willing to help others, adored her grandchildren, and enjoyed spending time with family.

She is survived by her children: Joey (Christina) Cook, Fargo, ND, Amanda (Chris) O’Connor, Wahalla, ND, Sara Stevenson, Cavalier, ND; son-in-law; Jason Stevenson, Cavalier, ND; grandchildren: David and Michael O’Connor, James, Jeffrey, and Elizabeth Stevenson; mother, Cece Menier, Wahalla; sisters: Brenda Menier, Renae (Tom) Erdmann, Terri (Dean) Beauchamp, all of Fargo, ND, and David Cook, Walhalla, ND.

Preceding her in death was her father, Joseph, who passed away on the same date in 1991.
