Stella L. Zettel

Stella L. Zettel, age 83 of Walhalla, ND died on Monday, August 29, 2005, at the Pembilier Nursing Center, Walhalla, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 2, 2005, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Wallhalla, ND with the Rev. Fr. Thomas J. Krupich as Celebrant.
Visitation will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 1st with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service at the church. Burial in the St. Boniface Catholic Cemeter. Arrangements with Nelson-Askew Funeral Home, Walhalla, ND.
Stella L. Romfo was born November 15, 1921, at Vang, ND to Jacob and Olga (Hjelter-Eid) Romfo. She grew up and attended school at Vang.
On April 9, 1939, she married Earl E. Zettel at Langdon, ND. After their marriage they lived in the Langdon and Cavalier areas. In 1942, they moved to Walhalla. She worked at various retail businesses in Walhalla Earl passed away on September 25, 1990.
Stella was active in the Altar Society, Degree of Honor, Walhalla Senior Citizens, and the Pembilier Nursing Center Auxiliary.
She is survived by a daughter, Lorraine (Rolland) Beauchamp, Walhalla, ND; grandchildren, Lorrie (Brad) Berg, Kimberly (Arthur) Hotten, Corey (Jennifer) Beauchamp; great grandchildren, Amanda Berg, Tyler and Megan Hotten, and Jacob Beauchamp.
Stella was also preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Clayton and Lloyd Romfo, half brothers, Jim and Orville Eid, and Helgert, Oscar, and Joseph Romfo, half sister, Grace Knutson.
