Ronald L. Bennett

Ronald L. Bennett, 72, of Munich, ND passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at his home. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Hillside Cemetery in Walhalla, ND. Please bring your lawn chairs for seating at the service. There will be a time of lunch and fellowship after the service at the Walhalla Lutheran Church.

Ronald Leo Bennett was born June 23, 1953, at Vang, ND to Vernon and Olive Christine (Hiller) Bennett. He grew up on the family farm near Vang and graduated from Walhalla High School in 1971. Ron then farmed and did construction work in the Walhalla area. In 1979, he moved to Seattle, WA, where he worked as a carpenter and later as a CNC machinist. He later moved back to Calvin, ND where he helped take care of his father. Ron also worked at Zimmer Lumber in Munich. Ron enjoyed bowling, shooting, varmint hunting, and his collection of rocks and coins.

On December 29, 1973, he married Lauri Diemert in Edmonds, WA. Survivors include his wife, Lauri, children: Adrienne Bennett (Zachary Yarus) Bremerton, WA and Mason (Katie) Bennett, Munich, ND; grandchildren: William Bennett and Penelope Yarus. Also surviving are his siblings: Sandra Bennett, Susan (Charles) Hoggarth, Lorry (Tammerina) Bennett, Holly Bennett and brother-in-law, Sid Brandt.

Preceding him in death were his parents and sister, Cheryl Brandt.
