Robert K. Soeby

Robert K. Soeby, 68 years old, of Grand Forks, ND passed away unexpectedly on February 23, 2026, at his home. Bobby was born on May 13, 1957, in Langdon, ND to Richard and Dorothy (Fischer) Soeby.

Bobby grew up on the family farm south of Walhalla, ND and graduated from Walhalla High School in 1975. After graduation he enlisted in the Army where he was stationed at bases in the U.S. and Germany. Upon completing his service in the army he moved to Grafton, ND where he became a thirty-plus-year employee at Kmart. After the Grafton location closed, he then transferred to the Grand Forks store until their closure in 2018. He then began working at Hugo’s, where he was currently employed at the time of his death.

Bobby enjoyed hunting and fishing, coming back to the farm to do yard work, never saying no to a good game of cards and in the fall, you’d find him cheering on the Minnesota Vikings.

Bobby is survived by his mother, Dorothy Soeby, Walhalla, ND; siblings: Mark (Molly) Soeby, Preston, MN, Cathy (Wayne) Morrison, Bathgate, ND, Dale Soeby, Walhalla, ND, and James (Maria) Soeby, West Fargo, ND. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death was his father, Richard Soeby.

Burial will take place at the Beaulieu Cemetery.
