Richard (Dick) Lee Lorenzen, 76, of Kennewick, WA, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2020. A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 2:00 p.m.at the St. Brigid's Catholic Cemetery, Cavalier, ND.
He was born on August 13, 1943, and grew up in Cavalier, ND, where he graduated from Cavalier High School. He then attended and
graduated from Aaker's Business College in Grand Forks, ND.
Richard's career entailed working for several newspaper companies before moving to Kennewick, WA, where he worked at the Hanford site as an offset press and Xerox operator. He completed his career at Energy Northwest and retired in 2005.
Dick's passion in life was growing beautiful flowers, cooking, and baking. He made the best carrot cake in the world!! Richard loved caring for his pets, Coco, Chaing and Joee. There was never a dull moment when Richard was around. His hilarious wit kept people in stitches!!!! He was very loyal and loved all his friends and family.
Richard is preceded in death by his father Martin Lorenzen, mother Lucille Lorenzen, and sister Kathy Johnson. Richard is survived by his brother Tom Lorenzen (Margaret) of Gurnee, IL, sisters Pat Dearinger (Gary) of Walhalla, ND, and Carol Lorenzen of Kennewick, WA, as well as many nieces and nephews. You are gone from our sight but will always remain in our hearts. Love you Richard!!
