Richard Kochendorfer

Richard Kochendorfer, 77, of St. Vincent, Minnesota, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at his home. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pembina Cemetery, Pembina, ND.

Richard Arnold Kochendorfer was born May 29, 1948, to Leslie (Tienie) and Ethel (Sanders) Kochendorfer in Hallock, MN. He grew up on the family farm in rural Pembina, ND, and was baptized and confirmed at Pioneer Methodist Church in Pembina.

Richard graduated from Pembina High School in 1966, and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1969, serving as a medic in Korea.

He enjoyed farming and worked for local farmers and for a time did construction work building bridges. He also worked for Motor Coach Industries. Richard loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He fed birds, turkey, and deer right in his yard.

Survivors include his sisters, Patty Lage, Cavalier, ND and Susie Dimsha, Monroe, OR, as well as his nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, brother, Jerry Rivers, and two brothers-in-law, Roger Anderson and Jim McMillan.
