Raymond G. Walgren, Sr.

Raymond G. Walgren, Sr. age 78 of Mountain, ND died on Monday, August 15, 2005, at the MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 19, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. at the Mountain Cemetery, Mountain, ND. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 18th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND.
Raymond G. Walgren was born December 26, 1926, at Hay Springs, NE to Leland and Alice (Liska) Walgren. He grew up and attended school at Hay Springs, where he graduated from high school. Ray then enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served in World War II in the Pacific Theatre. He worked at the Cavalier Air Force Station. Later he was a resident of the Wedgewood Manor in Cavalier.
He is survived by his children, Raymond G. (Cindi) Walgren, Jr., Chadron, NE; Charles H. (Vicki) Walgren and Estelle Perry both of Conyers, GA; Cynthia (Mike) Trickler, Hemingford, NE; John Walgren, Scottsbulff, NE; Shelley (Cliff) White, Beth Scruggs, and Kevin Walgren, all of Rome, GA, 18 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and also survived by sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents.
