Orlin Stanley Rostvet

Orlin S. Rostvet, 74, of Osnabrock, ND, passed away September 13, 2018, at his home.

Orlin Stanley Rostvet was born August 14, 1944, to Olaus and Minnie (Axvig) Rostvet in Adams, ND. He graduated from Adams High School and went to truck driving school in Dickinson, ND. On April 20, 1967, he was united in marriage to Sandy Swartz in Grafton. They lived in the Adams area and had seven children. Orlin worked road construction then farmed by Adams before moving West to work with the oil rigs. He was a heavy equipment operator for North American Coal for many years. He retired in 2008 and was currently living near Osnabrock. Orlin loved to go hunting and fishing. He enjoyed reading, tinkering on cars, and was a spiritual person.

Orlin is survived by his children: Brian (Julie) of Park River, ND, Bradley of Pisek, ND, Bob of Pisek, ND, Rick (Nichole) of Langdon, ND, Joy (Joe) Neidlinger of Chicago, IL, and Roy (Casey) of Harwood, ND; ten grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and siblings: Marilyn Helgeson, Shirley (Alvin) French, Amy Paulson, Bert (Jackie) Rostvet, James (Ardith) Rostvet, Roger (Dawn) Rostvet and Conrad Rostvet. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Christopher, twin brother Marvin (Gloria), and brothers-in-law Forest Helgeson and Allen Paulson.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at Brooks Funeral Home in Langdon, ND, with visitation starting one hour prior to service time. Burial will be at Trinity Cemetery near Adams, ND.
