Michael E. Percy

Michael Ellis Percy, age 50, passed away peacefully on April 22nd, 2026 at home under the care of HIA Hospice .

Michael was born November 19th, 1975 to Michael Howard and Diane Lynn (Harmon) Percy in El Paso, Texas. He grew up in Detroit Lakes, MN and Moorhead, MN. In 1994, Michael received high school diplomas from both Detroit Lakes and Moorhead.

Over the years, Michael worked a variety of jobs. Some of his favorite jobs were working in construction & concrete for over 20 years and working in the food service industry. Michael loved the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, hiking and ricing. It never mattered what season it was or the weather. You could always find him outdoors. He loved teaching his grandkids and wife about the outdoors; tracking, hiking, animals, plants and trees.

If Michael wasn't enjoying the outdoors, he was working on his art or wood projects. He loved seeing what he could create. His biggest joy was creating pieces for his family and friends.

Michael is survived by his wife, Michelle, children: Mackenzie Percy, Abigail Cast, Michael Percy III, Alexander Percy and Jackson Percy, grandchildren: Mizayah, Makiyah, Zariyah, Myzon, Maxon and Kyzon, brothers: Matthew and Maqua, nephews: Cashis, Kasin and Kaine, niece: Kyra and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Michael Percy and Diane Harmon Garcia, grandparents: Frank and Olga Harmon, Martha Percy, Lester Brown and Joe Percy, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

There will be a private celebration of life for Michael on Saturday, June 27th, 2026 at 1pm in Lindenwood Park, Fargo, ND.
