Marvin Nupdal

Marvin Nupdal, 85, of Mountain, ND passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2012, at the Borg Memorial Home, Mountain, ND. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at the Vikur Lutheran Church, Mountain, ND with visitation one hour prior to service at the church. Burial in the Mountain Cemetery. Arrangements with Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND.

Marvin was born on May 1, 1926, at Hallson, ND to Sigurbjorn & Gudrun (Thomasson) Nupdal. He farmed in the Hallson & Mountain areas all his life. He married Leona Eastman on April 6, 1974, in Donaldson, MN. They lived& farmed in the Hallson area. Leona passed away on February 7, 1990. Marvin's favorite pastime was playing cards with the "guys" at the apartment building.

Survivors include two step-sons; Robert (Carolyn) Eastman of Roseau, MN & Loren Eastman of Climax, MN; brother, Steve (Eva) Nupdal of Cavalier, ND; sister, Ellie Stabo of Edinburg, ND ANDE numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, stepchildren, Walter Eastman & Helen Anderson; three brothers, Bjorn, Thor and August; three sisters, Agnes Jones, Freda Johnsonand Sigrid M. Baker.
