Lloyd Peterson

     Lloyd Peterson, 82 of Cavalier and formerly of Walhalla, ND passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at Wedgewood Manor in Cavalier. A graveside service will be held Friday, May 15, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Hillside Cemetery, Walhalla, ND. Everyone attending please following social distancing guidelines and wear a mask.

     Lloyd Peterson was born November 29, 1937 near Walhalla, ND to Oscar and Dorothy (Styles) Peterson. He grew up in the rural Walhalla area. Lloyd then served in the US Army. After his discharge he returned to Walhalla, where he worked for Northern Supply and various farmers.

     He was united in marriage to Viola Clark in Cavalier, ND. Lloyd is survived by his wife, Viola; siblings: Lois Lennox, Seattle, WA, Karen (Lloyd) Bourbanis and Clifford (Debbie) Peterson, all of Walhalla, ND. Also survived by his sisters-in-law, Gladys Solbakken, Mary E. Peterson, Barbara Dearinger, Stella Styles and brother-in-law, Jerry Clark.

    Preceding him in death were his parents; stepson, Tommy Mecham; and siblings: Evelyn Nelson, Mildred Campbell, and Raymond Peterson.
