Lillian R. Trottier, 95, of Cavalier, ND passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, ND. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 21, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Lutheran Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 20th from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a 5:00 p.m. prayer service at the church.
Lillian Rose Stefanson was born October 19, 1923 near Hensel, ND to Sigurdur and Gina Skredergaard Stefanson. She grew up in rural Hensel and attended school in the Cavalier area.
On February 9, 1940, she married Ralph Trottier at Cavalier. After their marriage they lived in the rural Bathgate, ND area and later moved to Cavalier where they owned and operated Trottier Dairy and farmed for many years. Lillian worked at AultÃ¢â¬â¢s Grocery, BurkeÃ¢â¬â¢s Bakery, LyleÃ¢â¬â¢s Jack and Jill and several other retail businessÃ¢â¬â¢s in Cavalier. They later managed the Cedar Inn Motel.
She enjoyed sewing, traveling, baking, and spending time with her family and friends. Lillian was a charter member of the United Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School and was a member of WELCA. She was also a member of the Cavalier American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her children: Wayne (Gladys) Trottier, Northwood, ND, Cindy (Larry) DuBois and Karen Lindenberger (Mike Schluchter) all of Cavalier, ND; daughter-in-law, Judy (Gary) Kemnitz, Cavalier, ND; grandchildren: Darwin Trottier (Tina Fetsch), Jay Trottier; Mark (Clara) Trottier; Chris (Jim) Hayden; Mike Lindenberger, Mallory Lindenberger, Summer and Sunny Schluchter; eight great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews including Dianne (Kevin) Berg and their family; her special cat, Ginny.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Ralph; sons, Marlin, Warren, and Ronald; and brother, Alan.

Cindy, Karen, Wayne, and family. So very sorry to hear of Lillian's passing. Hoping her celebration of her life, is filled with loving memories, and kind words in your time of sorrow. Although I only knew her for a short time, I definitely know she will have been ushered to the front line to meet our Lord.
