Lillian Gudrun Johnson

Lillian Gudrun Johnson, 90, of Hensel, ND passed away Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, ND. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at United Lutheran Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services. Burial in the Andvari Cemetery, Hallson, ND.
Lillian was born May 18, 1925, near Hallson, ND to Ole and Sigga (Bjarnason) Johnson. She grew up in the Hallson and Mountain area, attending country school near Hallson.
On June 23, 1942, she married Skafti Johnson at Cavalier, ND. After their marriage they farmed and ran a gravel pit in the Hensel-Akra area. Skafti passed away on March 20, 1995.
Her home was always open to family and friends where the coffee pot was always on. She also enjoyed cooking and crossword puzzles. Lillian was known for her good sense of humor. Her passion in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her children: James (Marilyn) Johnson, Lynnwood, WA, Linda (Gerald) Craig, Sunnyside, WA, Jerry (Marcella) Johnson, North Bend, WA, Gordon (Deborah) Johnson, Cavalier, ND, Clarence (Colleen) Johnson, Crab Orchard, KY, Keith (Connie) Johnson, Cavalier, Dale (Patti) Johnson, Hensel, ND; 30 grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; sons, Loran and Arni Johnson; grandsons: Ryan Craig and Kevin Johnson and 14 siblings.
