Leonard D. Johnson

Leonard D. Johnson, 77, of Cavalier, ND passed away Saturday, April 4, 2026, at the Pembina County Memorial Hospital in Cavalier, ND.

Leonard Darrell Johnson was born October 19, 1948, at Lakota, ND to Carroll and Grace (Thieson) Johnson. He grew up in Lakota, where he attended school and later attended vo-tech for mechanics in Bismarck, ND.

On September 15, 1978, he married Wanda Sack in Bismarck, ND. After their marriage they lived in Bismarck, Washburn, Golden Valley, Langdon, and Cavalier, ND. While residing at those locations he worked at a local power plant, grain elevator, bean plant, and worked for area farmers. Things he enjoyed were cooking, canning, fishing, and mechanics.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda, son, Josh (Jennifer) Johnson, Cavalier, ND, and sister, Linda Vasichek, Lakota, ND.

Preceding him in death were his parents, son, Daryl Johnson, sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Robert Deurr, nephew, Robert Deurr, Jr, and brother-in-law, Tom Vasichek.
