Lenny Paul Arens, of Langdon, ND, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2026, peacefully in his home. He was 66 years old.
Lenny was born on March 26, 1960, in Langdon, N.D., to Peter and Beverly Arens. He grew up on the family farm 10 miles west of Langdon where his dad farmed and raised cattle. He attended Langdon Public School through grade eight. Lenny loved life on the farm, and over the years he continued to live there and assist his dad and sister with the cattle. He also worked for his Uncle Ben for several years driving grain truck. Lenny never married but often thought of his pets as his children, especially his cat, Callie, and his Brittany Spaniel, Kiefer. Lenny had a generous heart for all animals and could never turn away a stray. Lenny’s greatest joys were driving his 4-wheeler, going to the casino, WWE wrestling, cheering on the Minnesota Twins and Vikings, attending the car races, cruising “Main”, and burning a little rubber of his own whenever he got the chance.
He is survived by his sisters: Barb Arens and Kathleen (Jon) Finnson; nephew Anthony (Kayle) Arens; niece Lisa (Kelly) Thompson; great-nephews: Tanner (Sadie) Romfo, Gabriel (Sierra) Arens, Isaiah Arens, and Tristan Thompson; great-nieces: Amanda Thompson, Savannah Sparrow, Angilina Sparrow-Arens, Hope Thompson, and Danilynn Thompson; as well as many other family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Peter Arens; brother Tom Arens; and brother-in-law Jon Finnson.
