Lawrence Thordarson

Lawrence Thordarson, 88, of Svold, ND, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the Pembilier Nusing Center in Walhalla, ND. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Askew Funeral Home in Cavalier, ND. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Lawrence was born April 2, 1928 at Svold, ND to Victor and Rosa (Dalsted) Thordarson. He loved being on the family farm and helping his brother Jon. Lawrence had a passion for cars, especially his 1926 Model T. When he wasn't helping out at the farm, he enjoyed tinkering with grandfather clocks, playing with trinkets, listening to old time music on his record player and spending time with Merlyn and with anyone who came to visit.

Survivors include his sister-in-law, Nancy Johnson, Cavalier; nieces, Kimberly Wenzel and Kristi Johnson; uncle, Merlyn Dalsted; and cousins, Kaylyn and Merlynda Dalsted and their families.

Preceding him in death were his parents and brothers, Jon Johnson and Ervin Thordarson.
