LaVerne Indridason age 86 of Crystal, ND died on Friday, September 22, 2006, at the Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the Crystal United Methodist Church, Crystal, ND. Visitation will be held Monday, September 25th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the Crystal Methodist Church. Burial in the Vidalin Cemetery, Hensel, ND. Arrangements with Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND.
Joy LaVerne Indridason was born May 27, 1920 at Mountain, ND to Sigurdur and Johanna (Johnson) Indridason. He grew up and attended school at Mountain.
On December 10, 1942, he married Hazel L. Holliday at Grafton, ND. After their marriage they lived at Crystal. Hazel passed away on August 9, 2002.
LaVerne worked for the Don Folson farm for 40 years and later for other area farmers.
He is survived by his daughters, Renae Byron, Edinburg, ND and Kim Elsperger, Cando, ND; granddaughters, Kelly (Marlo) Stromberg, Minot, ND; Karri (John) Kraft, Bismarck, ND; Jenica (Derek) Flanagan, Hillsboro, ND; Shari (Calvin) Nass, Fargo, ND; Mindee Elsperger, Devils Lake, ND; great grandchildren, Jacklyn, Lexi, Vanessa, Jena, Brenan, Jocelyn, and Jaidyn; sister, Marge (Donald) Sellheim, Grand Forks, ND.
Laverne was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Bennie Johannesson, Milton and Kenny Indridason; sisters, Gladys Lund, Myrtle Byron, Hope Hanson, and Dorothy Kristjanson.
