Kevin E. Longtin

     Kevin E. Longtin, 59, of Walhalla, ND passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021 at the Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND. A public visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the St. Boniface Catholic Church, Walhalla, ND. A private service will be held Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at the church. A webcast of the service will be available to watch on the funeral home website on Wednesday afternoon. Social distancing and masks will be required.

Kevin Eugene Longtin was born June 13, 1961, in Cavalier, ND, to Dwight and Deloria (Verville) Longtin. He grew up in Walhalla, ND, where he attended school. He graduated from Walhalla High School in 1979. He also attended NDSU and UND. On July 13, 1985, he married Laurie Sigurdson in Walhalla, ND. They made their home in Walhalla, and he farmed with his dad on the family farm near Leroy, ND. 

Kevin enjoyed spending time with family and friends, visiting and telling stories, hunting and golfing. He enjoyed all sports, particularly basketball. He is a life-long member of the Walhalla community, where he served on the Walhalla Co-op board of directors and coached youth basketball teams. Kevin was especially proud of his three daughters. 

Kevin is survived by wife, Laurie; children: Hailey (Ross) Aman, Mandan, ND; Taylor Longtin, Fargo, ND; and Kaci Longtin, Fargo, ND; his mother, Deloria Longtin, Walhalla, ND; and siblings: Brent (Douglas Darsow) Longtin, Henderson, NV; Brenda (Kevin) Lacher, Mandan, ND, and children Kate Lynn and Michael; and Mark (Amy) Longtin, Horace, ND, and children Brett, Brooke, and Alayna; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Walhalla Ambulance Service or Pembilier Nursing Center in Walhalla, ND.
