Kenneth J. Bartron, 89, of Cavalier, ND passed away Thursday, September 27, 2018 at the Lutheran Sunset Home, Grafton, ND. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held Monday, October 1st from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Eastern Star and Masonic service at the church. Burial will be held in the Union Cemetery, Neche, ND.

Kenneth James Bartron was born February 7, 1929 at Neche, ND to James and Mary (Horsley) Bartron. He grew up in the Neche area and graduated from Neche High School. Kenny then attended the North Dakota State School of Science at Wahpeton, ND. From 1950 to 1954, he served in the U.S Air Force, stationed in Alaska for 14 months. After his discharge from the service he returned to Neche, where he farmed with his father.

He met his future wife Hazel Evanson while she was teaching in Neche. They were married September 6, 1956 at Grafton, ND. They lived and farmed in the Neche area, where Kenny was also a rural mail carrier.

Kenny was a member of the Neche United Methodist Church, Gainer-McAndrews Legion Post #242, Masonic Lodges in Bathgate, ND, Fargo, ND, and Cavalier, ND, and the Order of Eastern Star in Bathgate, Fargo, and Moorhead, MN.

Things he enjoyed were woodworking, fishing, carpentry, and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel; children: Janis (Duane) Wileman, Neche, ND, Nancy (Robert) Maxwell, Hamilton, ND, Lori (John) Tozer, Cavalier, ND; grandchildren: Jesse Wileman, Laura (Kevin) Ault, Heather (Adam) Halvorson, Andrea (Matt) Daddino; Andrew (Sara) Maxwell, Sarah Storey, Brandi Veer (Andrew Anderson), Jennifer Maxwell (Jeremy Homstad); Ashley Tozer, Heidi (Kollin) Mundis, Morgan Tozer, Jay Tozer; great-grandchildren: Jade, Jordyn, Caleb, Joshua, Owen, Sawyer, Emery, Izabella, and Tyree. Also surviving him are his brother, Wesley (Harryette) Bartron; sisters-in-law: Inez (Carl) Kujath and Dorothy Evanson.

Preceding him in death were his parents and son, Jay.
