Kathleen Kollack

Kathleen A. Kollack, 92, of Neche, ND, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018, at the Pembilier Nursing Center in Walhalla, ND. Funeral service will be held Thursday, February 1, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at the Christ Lutheran Church in Neche. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 31st, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND.
Kathleen was born March 27, 1925 in Wooler, Ontario to Wilfred and Clara (Murray) Wessels. As a young girl, she moved to the Park Center area with her family. Kathleen grew up and attended school in the Park Center area. On June 10, 1953 she married Fred Kollack at Humboldt, MN. After their marriage they farmed in Park Center. In the winter months they lived in Long Beach, CA until the winter of 1960. After Fred retired from farming they moved into Neche.
Some of the things she enjoyed were gardening, crocheting, knitting, quilting, crossword puzzles, and driving around visiting friends. Kathleen always had popsicles in the freezer for the neighbor kids.
Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Brenda Rosenau, Cavalier, ND; grandchildren: Jennifer Winkler, Pembina, ND; Julie Winkler, Neche, ND; Jodi Ebach, Farwell, TX; Jeremy (Karla) Rosenau, Grand Forks, ND; Jason Rosenau, East Grand Forks, MN; grandchildren: A.J. Winkler, Tristan and Kristine Hannesson, David Gutirrez, Jr., Gage Arens, Halie Ebach, Meadow and Logan Rosenau; nephew, Doug (Lorraine) Wessels; nieces: Shirley (Ron) Williams and Joanie (Bob)Whitley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred; daughter, Barbara; and brothers Jim and Jay.
