Joyce O Sagert

Joyce O. Sagert, 88, of Mountain, ND, formerly of Neche, ND, passed away September 19, 2020, at the Pembina County Memorial Hospital, Cavalier, ND. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at the United Lutheran Church, Cavalier. Visitation will be held for one hour before the time of the service. Use of masks and social distancing is recommended.

Joyce was born August 8, 1932, in Vang, ND, to Joseph and Olga (Christianson) Thompson. She attended school at Vang and high school in Walhalla. On July 8, 1952, she married Rienhold Sagert. They farmed in the Neche area.

Joyce enjoyed playing cards, gardening, crocheting, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: Keith (Marilyn) Sagert, Neche, ND and Mark Sagert, Cavalier, ND; grandchildren: Jeremy (Kayla) Sagert; Carmin (Dan) Lampi; Kevin (Irina) Sagert; Drew (Jadeyn) Sagert; and Austin Sagert; six great-grandchildren and sister, Marion (Richard) Raymer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers: Earl, Arthur, and Marvin Thompson, and sister, Adeline Williams.
