John McFarlane

John McFarlane, 86, of Langdon, ND passed away April 6, 2006 at the Cavalier County Memorial Hospital of Langdon, ND.

John McFarlane was born January 13, 1920 to Alexander and Laura Edith (Dunford) McFarlane in Harvey Township, Cavalier County. He grew up and attended school in Harvey Centre Township. John farmed the family homestead for 42 years. He was united in marriage to Ann Haus Sand on July 9, 1964 at the Presbyterian Church of Langdon the Reverend Ford. They wintered in Arizona for over 20 years and moved to Langdon in 1990. John was a member of the Stillwell Community Church until it closed and then the Presbyterian Church of Langdon, ND. He was active in the Lebanon Lodge #34, the Langdon Scottish Rite Bodies, Kem Temple of the Shrine and the 49er Shrine Club.

John is survived by his wife Ann, step-daughter Phyllis (Wayne) Jordy of Marietta, GA, sister Bessie Field of Langdon, ND and 14 neices and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers and sisters: Laura McFarlane, Harvey McFarlane, Elsie Sussex, Ada McDonald, Robert McFarlane, and Emily McFarlane.

VISITATION 3 to 6pm on Saturday April 8, 2006 at the Brooks Funeral Home of Langdon, ND.

SERVICES Sunday April 9, 2006 at 2:00pm at the Presbyterian church of Langdon, ND

INTERMENT Lebanon Cemetery, Langdon, ND.
