     John F. “Jack” Farrow, 93, of Cavalier, ND, passed away Friday, May 22, 2020 at the Pembilier Nursing Center in Walhalla, ND. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

     Jack was born February 9, 1927, to Fred and Barbara (Kaercher) Farrow. After many years of helping on his brother’s farm, Jack had several jobs around Cavalier. He was the janitor at Trinity United Methodist Church for many years and a maintenance man at Wedgewood Manor. Jack was also employed by the City of Cavalier to mow and take care of the fall cleaning in the city park. In 2008, Jack moved to the Borg Memorial Home in Mountain, and in 2017 he moved to the Pembilier Nursing Center in Walhalla.

     In 1982, Jack married Arlis Olson, she preceded him in death.

     Jack was a long-time member of the Cavalier Evangelical United Bretheran Church and the Trinity United Methodist Church in Cavalier.

     Some of the things he enjoyed were puzzles and ice cream, particularly malts from the Dairy Queen.

     Jack made friends of the staff at the nursing homes, and he always enjoyed lending a helping hand. He will be missed by his family and friends.

     Jack is survived by sister-in-law, Luella Farrow, Cavalier, ND; nephew, David (Nola) Farrow, Auburn, WA; nieces: Debby Gilmore, Fargo, ND; Jen (Jack) Doney Finley, Ennis, MT; Catherine (Wayne) Erie, Cedar Rapids, IA; and Jean (Robert) Schroeder, Cavalier, ND; 10 great nieces and nephews, and 16 great-great nieces and nephews.

     He was also preceded in death by his parents; brother, Raymond Farrow; and sister, Mildred Doney.
