JoClaire V. Iverson

November 11, 1942 — November 10, 2020

JoClaire V. Iverson, daughter of the late Oren W. and Jennie G. (Ruse) Hillebrand born November 11, 1942, in Deaconess Hospital in Grand Forks, ND, passed away in her sleep Tuesday, November 10, 2020, of natural causes.

She received her elementary education in a rural school and graduated from Petersburg High School in 1960.  She attended Aaker’s Business College in Grand Forks as a stenographer/file clerk.  She worked as a clerk at the Grand Forks Credit Bureau for four years. On June 28, 1964, she was married to Robert B. Iverson of Fairdale, ND.  After their marriage they owned and operated the Iverson Fairway Grocery store for six years then decided to move to Edinburg, ND.  She lived there while her children went through kindergarten to high school graduation from Edinburg High School.  After 40 years, she and her husband moved to Langdon for Bob’s job.  They lived there until his retirement this past May before moving to Grand Forks.

JoClaire had a sincere love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Not a day would go by that she did not converse with Him and truly desire to be in His presence.  She was an avid reader of the Word and loved to share scripture with all she came into contact with. She had many treasures – singing in the choir, being married for 56 years, and raising seven children.

She is survived by her husband, Bob, of Langdon; daughters: Jolayne R. Repoyo (Hatton), Robin Jo Sickels (Fargo), Juliane M. Iverson (Grand Forks), Lisa Jo (Kevin) Yeip (Grand Forks), Victoria Jo M. (Tracton) Lewis (Park River); sons: Martin R. B. Iverson (Hillsboro), John W. Iverson (Grand Forks); 15 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brother: Dennis (Louise) Hillebrand (West Fargo); and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Burial of ashes will be held at 1:00 p.m. on May 31, 2021, at Silvesta Cemetery, rural Fairdale, ND.

Special thank you to Tom, Dawn, Patrick and Anthony at Brooks Funeral Home.
