Whenever I came back to Walhalla I always looked forward to visiting with Lyle and JoAnn. He was a man's man (a former Marine) and she was never, ever, without her warm smile and infectious laugh. They were both salt of the earth North Dakotan's. I will not forget them.

Judy and I would like to extend our deepest sympathies to JoAnn's family and the Lois and Billy Hardy family. I have fond memories of JoAnn growing up in the Concrete community and going to the old Concrete school. She was the first girl I ever had a crush on. She was a few years older and I was just a little pip squeak so she probably never noticed. We always looked forward to seeing her smiling and friendly face on our trips back to N. D. We will miss that. She was a great lady.

Our sympathies to the Hardy family. Your parents and you kids were our first neighbors when we moved from Canada back in 1978. You all made us feel so welcome. Thank you! Mom would make sure to offer some delicious dessert whenever I'd stop by! Still cherish the sight of your parents sitting by the garage listening to Taps from the Air Base at 9 PM. More recent, her cheery greeting when delivering meals on wheels. Will miss her. They left a great legacy!

I would like to express my condolences to the family and friends of JoAnn Hardy. While words fail to capture the pain of losing a loved one, we look forward to the time when words will fail to capture the joy of having our heavenly Father, Jehovah, return your dear one to you. May the Lord, Jesus Christ himself and God our Father who loved us and gave everlasting comfort and good hope through undeserved kindness, comfort your hearts and make you firm. (2Thessalonians 2:16,17)
