Jo Ann Beauchamp

Jo Ann Beauchamp, 73, of Ellendale, ND, and formerly of Langdon, ND, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018, at Prince of Peace Care Center in Ellendale, ND.

Jo Ann was born June 9, 1945, in Langdon, ND to Raymond and Margaret (Hill) Beauchamp. She attended school in Mt. Carmel and St. Alphonsus in Langdon. After school, she worked for a short time as a nurses’ aide at St. Mary’s Hospital in Langdon and at a nursing home in Carrington. While in Langdon, Jo Ann enjoyed volunteering at Maple Manor writing letters for residents. After her mother died in 1996, Jo Ann moved to Grand Forks and lived at Harvest Home. She also lived at St. Anne’s Guest Home in Grand Forks for a number of years before moving to Prince of Peace Care Center in Ellendale, ND, in January of 2016. Jo Ann enjoyed playing bingo and cards and doing crafts. She also enjoyed spending time with her many nieces and nephews.

Jo Ann is survived by her siblings: Pat (Mike) West of Detroit Lakes, MN, Delores (Duane) Schindler of Spokane, WA, Lyle (Karen) Beauchamp of Devils Lake, ND, Kathy Beauchamp of Spokane WA, Bob Beauchamp of Jamestown, ND, and Tom (Sheila) Beauchamp of Langdon along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Alan.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, October 29, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Langdon, ND. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a 12:15 p.m. Rosary at the church in Monday. Burial will be at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
