Jeannette M. Lipsh

Jeannette M. Lipsh, 66, of Walhalla, ND passed away Sunday, April 26, 2026, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at the Walhalla Lutheran Church in Walhalla, ND. Visitation will be held one hour before the time of services at the church. 

Jeannette Marie Olafson was born September 16, 1959, in San Franciso, CA to Ronnie and Lillian (Strand) Olafson. She lived in California the first 13 years of her life and her family moved to Edinburg, ND, where she graduated from high school. Jeannette was married to Donald Lipsh in September of 1980, and they lived in Fordville, ND in 1991, she moved to Walhalla. Family was very important to her. She loved family gatherings, spending time with her grandchildren, playing poker, and county fairs. Jeannette worked at the Development Center in Grafton for many years. She was presently employed by Johnson’s Farms in Walhalla. 

Survivors include her companion of 35 years, Joel Mostad Walhalla, children: Dee J. Lipsh Walhalla, Jesse Lipsh (Nano Moreno) Walhalla , Jade (Kyle) Matti Warren MN, Lacy Mostad (Dalton Demontigny) Walhalla, step-son, Christopher (Sharon) Lipsh Grand Forks ; grandchildren: Jammi Fracasso and Lucas Lipsh, Cameron Saldana and Jascie Moreno; Kasen and Amelia Matti; Weston, Nevaeh, and Brynlee Mostad, Kai and Violet Demontigny; and Parker Lipsh. Also surviving are her siblings: Annette (Jerry) Mostad Walhalla, Barry Olafson Edinburg, and Lynnette (Flint,Sr.) Huffman Walhalla, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Preceding her in death were her parents, Ronnie and Lillian, Grandparents Albert and Helene Strand and Joe and Vi Olafson.
