James E. Ranisate

James E. Ranisate, 76, of Crystal, ND passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, ND. Funeral service will be held Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Crystal United Methodist Church, Crystal, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services.

Jim was born June 8, 1942 in Bagley, MN to Emil and Alice (Lietz) Ranisate.

On September 23, 1962, Jim married Linda Onstad at Crystal, ND. Jim worked for area farmers and then owned and operated semi’s hauling potatoes and grains. He hauled for Transystems for four years and then mowed for the City of Crystal, his favorite job as he liked doing yard work. Jim also enjoyed working with wood as a hobby.

Surviving Jim are his wife, Linda; sons: Rick (Allison) and Chris (Jane); daughter, Shelley (Monday); grandchildren: Kyle, Paul, and Zac Ranistae, Elizabeth (Brandon) Green, Meghan Ranisate, James Nirva, Oarhe Osagie, Kristofer Jones, Kaleb Osagie; great-grandchilden: Benjamin and Bethany Green and Johanna Ranisate. Also surviving are his brother, Larry (Linda); sister, Sue Pladson; mother-in-law, Evelyn Dietrich; sister-in-law, Judy (Fred) Hofmann.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Leroy; father-in-law, Cliff Onstad and brother-in-law, Jerry.
