James Mostad

James O. Mostad, 59, of Fargo, ND and formerly of Walhalla, ND passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at his home. A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Boniface Catholic Church, Walhalla, ND. Burial will be held in the St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery.
James was born November 26, 1957, at Cavalier, ND to Jerdis and Earleen (Verville) Mostad. He grew up in Walhalla where he attended school. James served in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1978 to 1982. After his discharge from the service, he worked as an auto mechanic in various places. He enjoyed the outdoors, spending time with his family and friends and the Minnesota Vikings.
He is survived by his children; James C. Mostad, Warroad, MN and Brittany Mostad, New York Mills, MN; grandchildren; Ayden and Aubree Mostad, and Liam Mostad; mother, Earleen Mostad, Walhalla, ND; siblings: Debbie (Clifford) Peterson, Jerry (Annette) Mostad, all of Walhalla, Jack (Renita) Mostad, Bismarck, ND, Joe Mostad (Jeanette Lipsh), Walhalla, step-son, Brandon Mostad; step-grandchildren: Lily and Ava Mostad.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerdis.
