Isabelle M. Fetsch

Isabelle Fetsch, 92, of Langdon, ND, passed away Friday, November 1, 2019, at Maple Manor Care Center in Langdon.

Isabelle Marie Eickenbrock was born January 27, 1927, in Wales, ND, daughter of Joseph and Susanna (Tinglehoff) Eickenbrock. She attended Minto School and graduated from Wales High School. Isabelle married Dale Fetsch on November 6, 1946, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Wales. They farmed near Wales until 1987 when they moved to Langdon and ran the Langdon Motor Inn for many years. Through her job as manager, she developed many friendships and treated all the guests like family.

Isabelle enjoyed sewing, baking and gardening. She spent lots of time watching her grandchildren, and she was a caregiver known as being witty, practical, and candid. She was a patient woman who was adored by her immediate family and all of her extended families. She was a member of Homemakers Club in her earlier years and was also a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.

Surviving Isabelle are her children: Colin (Mary) Fetsch of Langdon, Joan (Cameron) Sillers of Langdon, Greg (Patty) Fetsch of Langdon, Galen (Holly) Fetsch of Munich, and Susan (Terry) Crockett of Langdon; grandchildren: Clayton (Olivia) Fetsch, Sara (Tony) Jardine, Jon Fetsch, Teresa (Christopher) Kluth, James Fetsch, Emily (Adam) Koenig, Jason (Liz) Sillers, Laura (Derick) Jungling, Justin (Kristen) Fetsch, Derek (Jessica) Fetsch, Garth Fetsch (Katelyn Pierce – fiancee), Dalton Fetsch, Sadie Fetsch, Matthew (Kyla) Fetsch, Joshua Fetsch, Katrina Fetsch, Rae Ellen Crockett, Brady Crockett; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dale, daughter Cleone, and siblings: Henry, Katie Kowalski, Joe, Frank, Tony, Elizabeth Pike, Ted, Vic, and Helen Lundgren Rutledge.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5, 2019, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a 12:30 Rosary on Tuesday at the church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Langdon.
