William Henry Blair was born February 24, 1927 to John and Emily (Rutledge) Blair. He grew up on a farm near Maida, ND and attended school in Maida and Langdon. Henry enlisted in the US Navy in 1945 and served as a 3rd Class Mate in the Navy and a Staff Sergeant in the Marine Corps. After being discharged, Henry worked in Milwaukee for a winter in an iron plant shoveling coal. He attended Wahpeton State School of Science in 1950 and returned home to help on the family farm. So sorry to hear of Henry's passing. I have many memories of the Blairs growing up in Maida as neighbors of them. Judy

My family and I had the good fortune to get to know Henry a bit when he was living at Parkwood Senior Living in Grand Forks. I think without exception, he always had a candy bar in his shirt pocket ready to give each of my young daughters. Needless to say, they always looked forward to seeing him! We really appreciated the opportunity to get to know him over the past couple of years, and we will definitely miss him.

Roger, Brent, Patti & Craig, Our thoughts & prayers are with all of you as you say goodbye to your dear father. We always enjoyed our visits with both he and your mom while we were in Hannah and any time we'd see them after the 'Hannah Days'; they were truly a wonderful couple (with some very special kids too I might add) and good friends. May God bless his memory to all of you. Love, Myrle & Darlene
