Harold L. Hurley

Harold L. Hurley age 75 of Walhalla, ND died on Thursday, June 15, 2006 at his home. Funeral service will be held Monday, June 19, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. at the Park Center-Walhalla Presbyterian Church, Walhalla, ND. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 18th from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. Masonic Service at the church. Burial in the Hillside Cemetery, Walhalla, ND. Arrangements with Nelson-Askew Funeral Home, Walhalla, ND.
Harold Lloyd Hurley was born April 20, 1931, in Walsh County to Lloyd and Mabel (Metelmann) Hurley. He grew up and attended school in the Walhalla area, and then attended North Dakota State School of Science at Wahpeton. Harold served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. After his discharge from the service, he returned to Walhalla where he farmed.
He was a fourth generation Mason, belonging to the Walhalla and Tongue River Masonic Ledges for over 50 years.
On December 29, 1956, he married Helen Kristjanson at Mountain, ND. She passed away on October 12, 2000.
He is survived by his children, Joanie (Randy) Danielson and their children, Richard and Jenna Danielson, Gillette, WY; Edward Hurley (Jan and her children, T.J., Niccole and her son Jack), Walhalla, ND; Susan Hurley (Greg) and her daughter Suzanne Hurley, Grand Forks, ND.
Harold was also preceded in death by his parents.
