Gertrude O. Ertman

Gertrude O. Ertman age 82 of Cavalier and formerly of Neche, ND, died on Saturday, August 20, 2005 at Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, ND.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. at the Neche United Methodist Church, Neche, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services. Burial in the Neche Union Cemetery.
Gertrude Olga Ertman was born on February 4, 1923, in Neche to Reinhold and Laura (Schultz) Ertman. She attended school and graduated from Neche High School.
She began working at the Citizen's State Bank of Neche in 1942, retiring in 1988, after 46 years of service to the banking industry.
Gertrude was active in her church, teaching Sunday school and singing in the choir. She had served as treasurer of Neche School District #55 for many years. Gertrude also enjoyed being part of a curling team for many years.
She is survived by sisters, Agnes (Howard) Hoff, East Grand Forks, MN; Frances Meahl, Lady Lake, FL; Annette (Don) Lachowitzer, Fargo, ND; Ruth England, Gardnerville, NV; brothers, Herbert Ertman, Dead Lake, MN; and Clinton Ertman, Minneapolis, MN; nieces and nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Hulda Coyle and Gloria McArthur, half-brother, Rienhardt Ertman, nephews, Justin Chaput, Jeffery Lachowitzer, Jeffrey Chaput, and one niece, MaLissa Hoff-Kelley.
