George R. Rathbun

George R. Rathbun age 92 of Crystal, ND died on Wednesday, November 23, 2005, at the Pembina County Memorial Hospital, Cavalier, ND. Funeral service will be on Saturday, November 26, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. at the Crystal United Methodist Church, Crystal, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services. Burial in the Milton Cemetery, Milton, ND. Arrangements with Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND.
George Richard Rathbun was born May 5, 1913, at Ronan, Montana to Richard and Mary Ann (Fritzmaurice) Rathbun. He came to the Crystal area as a very young boy where he attended school. George spent his life raising cattle and farming.
On November 20, 1941, he married Mary Ann McDonald at Park River, ND. After their marriage they lived on the farm until Mary's death on July 3, 1994. In May of 2004, he became a resident of the Borg Memorial Home in Mountain.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and his only brother, William F. "Bud" Rathbun.
