Evelyn Schill, 84, of Langdon, ND, passed away April 4, 2013 at the Maple Manor Care Center of Langdon, ND.
Evelyn Florence Girodat was born October 22, 1928 to Peter and Hedwig (Bernard) Girodat at Mt. Carmel, ND. She was raised and educated in Mt. Carmel where she worked for her father in what had been her grandfather's general store. The general store included a Grocery, Creamery, Post Office and Gas Station. Evelyn married her true love, Richard V. Schill, on June 28, 1950 at Mt. Carmel. They made their home on a farm near Mt. Carmel where they became the loving parents of ten children.
Evelyn's life was dedicated to her faith and to loving and caring for her husband and children. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, canning, sewing and loved to embroider. She enjoyed quilting and made quilts for her family, wrapping them in her love. Evelyn was active in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and when she moved to Langdon, the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. She was a member of the Altar Society and taught CCD for many years. Richard and Evelyn moved into Wheatland Estates in the fall of 2002. Richard passed away February 18, 2003. Evelyn continued to make her home at Wheatland, where she made cards, enjoyed friends and did puzzles. She moved to the Maple Manor Care Center in February of 2011.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three grandchildren, one great-grandchild, brother Arnold Girodat, brother-in-law Linus Kroetsch and sister-in-law Delores Girodat.
Visitation will take place from 3pm to 5pm on Sunday, April 7, 2013, at the Brooks Funeral Home of Langdon, ND.
Rosary and Prayer Service will take place at 7:30pm on Sunday, April 7, 2013, at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church of Langdon, ND.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, April 8, 2013, 2:00 p.m. at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church of Langdon, ND.
Interment in the Spring: Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery of Mt. Carmel, ND
