Emily Jean Amaral was born August 12, 1925 to Manual and Laura (Gandoza) Amaral in Mountain View, CA. She attended school and grew up in the San Francisco Bay area in California. She also enjoyed spending time in worship and was a long-time member of St. Anthony’s in Fargo.

Surviving Emily are her children: Gary (Wanda) Lorenz of Valley City, ND, and Karen (John) Roscoe of Sparks, NV; grandchildren: Leah, Ryder, Lucas, and Alexis; and great-grandchild Zoey. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jim; sister Hellen; and brothers: Manual, Alfred, and Arthur.

Guestbook

To the family of Emily Jean Lorenz While going through obituaries in Faro on line I came across this. I took this picture of her. Unsure of when I actually took it, but I knew by her hat and ring she was wearing. It warms my heart to go into homes and have a fun day with the ladies and men. So give them a smile and a fun time. Knowing that you were able to use this warms my heart. May you know of the love of our heavenly Father and find Peace. Sincerely Bonnie Maley

So sorry Karen, and John to hear of the loss of your Mother and Mother in law. We'd like to keep them forever. God Bless you all and maybe we'll see each other at another family gathering. Wonderful times we need to keep doing.

Gary and Karen, we are so very sorry to hear this news of Emily passing. We have many, many memories with them visiting while here in Fargo. She was a sweet lady, and we had a lot of great times. Your family will be in prayers. Inez and Leonard Rath

So sorry Karen, sound like your mom led a great life, going up in San Fran, when it was still pretty wild, and having a miltary wedding and living in Hawaii. Landgon must of been pretty dull. God Blessed her with a long life, you were lucky to have her.

Thoughts and prayers to the family. My wife and I were fortunate to be able to bring the Holy Eucharist to Emily. We always enjoyed our visits with her, and we know that she is with the Lord now.
