Elizabeth C. Dumenchuk

Elizabeth C. Dumenchuk, 69, of Pembina, ND, passed away Monday, June 8, 2026, at Encompass Health in Grand Forks, ND. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Askew Funeral Home in Cavalier.

Elizabeth Carol Restemayer was born on September 19, 1956, to Clarence and Ann (Thompson) Restemayer in Cavalier, ND. She grew up on the family farm near Cavalier and graduated from Cavalier High School before attending tech school in East Grand Forks, MN.

On September 19, 1977, Elizabeth married Alexander Dumenchuk in Leroy, ND. After their marriage they lived in Bathgate, ND.

During her life, Elizabeth worked at the Pioneer Rest Home in Bathgate, Wedgewood Manor in Cavalier, and the Depot Café and Gastrak in Pembina. She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching game shows, and playing cards and Bingo.

Elizabeth is preceded by her parents, husband, Alexander, and siblings, Edmund, Thomas and Joseph Restemayer.

She is survived by her children, Marion (Jeff) Klindworth of Grand Forks and Anthony Dumenchuk of Pembina, ND, her grandson, Sebastian Klindworth and her sister, Julie (Lane) Unhjem of Crosby, ND.
