Eleanor Victoria Elizabeth Hartman

Eleanor Victoria Elizabeth (Klindt) Hartman, 85, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026. Eleanor was known for her amazingly loving hugs and back rubs.

Born June 22, 1940, in Cavalier, North Dakota to Joseph and Erica (Wulff) Klindt. Eleanor was the youngest of 13 siblings. She earned her degree in bookkeeping while struggling to raise two teenage boys.

Eleanor had four children by her marriage to Donald Werven at which time she moved to Seattle, Washington. After they separated, Eleanor married Mark Alfred Hartman and lived a happy life together until Mark passed away.

Eleanor is survived by her daughter Roxane, son Edward, daughter-in-law Roxy, three grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Eleanor has one remaining sibling, her sister Elaine.

She is preceded in death by her husband Mark, and her sons, Michael and Kermit.

Graveside service will be held in Cavalier in the Spring.
