Edith Woodrow, 95, of Langdon, ND, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Maple Manor Care Center in Langdon, ND.
Edith Rena Klein was born July 3, 1920, the daughter of Adolph and Mary (Kuball) Klein in Dresden, ND. She was raised and educated near Dresden. On Sept. 20, 1946, Edith was united in marriage to Leslie Woodrow in Dresden. They farmed west of Sarles, ND until 1958 when they moved to Sarles.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Sarles and a charter member of the Brumwell-Gray American Legion Auxiliary Unit 276 of Sarles.
Surviving Edith are her daughter, Luella (Larry) Metzger of Center, ND; son Loren of Belfield, ND; grandchildren: Jamie, Kristy, Brandy, and Dusty; and great-grandchildren: Justin, Nathan, Brandy Jr., Austin, Kaitlyn, Isaac, Owen, and Evan. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Leslie, Son Lynn, brothers Walter and Arthur, and sisters: Olga Klein, Verbena “Pat” Barker, and Eleanor Heldt and daughter-in-law Edie.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at the Maple Manor Care Center Chapel. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer’s research or a charity of choice.
