They then spent 15 years wintering in Mission TX.

A hard worker, kind, loving husband and father; Duane was never one to sit idle!  Family described him as the “Eveready energizer bunny.”  He enjoyed golfing, fishing, woodworking and assisting in the farming of his land.

My favorite stories from Duane were about his time in the Navy. He was so humble & kind. But, he told me he got to drive the General all over New York City and they had dinner at the "21 Club" — he had a grin on his face. He saw so much of the world before settling down and raising his family. He was a patriot and a true gentleman. We will miss him.
