Dorothy Pitcher

Dorothy Pitcher, 88, of Walhalla, ND passed away very peacefully with her family beside her on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Pembilier Nursing Center in Walhalla. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Walhalla Assembly of God Church in Walhalla. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the church.
Dorothy, daughter of Mahlon and Alma (Walper) Restemayer was born on July 13, 1929, in Cavalier, ND. She was educated in Cavalier.
Dorothy met and married Arthur Pitcher on October 14, 1946, in Cavalier. They made their home in a few various places between Cavalier and Walhalla. Finally settling by Leyden, ND. They raised four children on the farm near Leyden. They moved to Walhalla later in life. After Art passed away in 1994, Dorothy moved into Youngstown Terrace, where she enjoyed playing scrabble and rummy with family and friends. Some of the things Dorothy enjoyed were gardening, canning, baking, and cooking for her family.
She is survived by her children: Gerald Pitcher, Velva, ND; Charles (Jan) Pitcher, Walhalla, ND; Ken (Ardie) Pitcher, Cavalier, ND; Margaret (Mike) Crotty, Grafton, ND; sister, Pearl Olafson, Cavalier, ND; eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Art; parents; and brothers, Glen and Sterling.
