Donald R.F. DeMars

Donald R. F. DeMars age 91 of Cavalier, ND., died on Sunday, April 17, 2005, at the Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, ND. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2005, at 9:30 a.m. at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 20th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Burial in the Cavalier Cemetery.
Donald R.F. DeMars was born December 22, 1913, near Bathgate, ND., to Richard Fred and Katie (Stewart) DeMars. He grew up and attended school in the Bathgate area and graduated from Bathgate High School. Don farmed in the Bathgate area his entire life.
On October 1, 1935, he married Bertha Stegman at Chirst Lutheran Church, Neche, ND., she died on August 26, 1976. He then married Jo Eichhorn on April 17, 1986, at Florence, Arizona. They wintered in Arizona for 18 years. In October of 2002, he became a resident of the Wedgewood Manor.
He is survived by his wife, Jo, children, Audrey (Bill) Crosby, Durham, NC., Don H. (Pat) DeMars, Cavalier, ND., Richard (Darlene) DeMars, Bathgate, ND., grandchildren, Renae Crosby- Sigafoos, Michelle Mahar, Melissa DeMars, Chad DeMars, Mark DeMars, Troy DeMars, Heidi Larson, Chandler Mazour, Stacy Strabbing, Nick Mazour, and Audra Mazour, 18 great grandchildren, sister, Annie Mae Stegmann, Bathgate, ND.
Donald was also preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Corrine Mazour, grandson, Todd DeMars, and sister, Ilean DeMars.
