Diane J. Benneweis

Diane J. Benneweis, 76, of Cavalier, ND passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at her home. Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at the Our Savior Lutheran Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation at the church on Saturday for one hour before the time of services. Burial will be held in the Cavalier Cemetery.

Diane Jean Gebur was born March 13, 1942 at Rock Lake, ND to Joseph and Gladys (Carnahan) Gebur. She grew up in Rock Lake, where she graduated from high school. Diane then attended Mayville State College. Diane taught school in Cavalier, Pembina, and Neche, ND retiring in 1997. Things she enjoyed were gardening, flowers, crafts, and spending time with her family.

On February 14, 1965, she married Cal Benneweis at Rock Lake, ND. She is survived by her husband, Cal; children: Scot Benneweis, Big Lake, MN, Dynessa (Steve) Nordrum, Austin, MN, Jonathan Benneweis, Cavalier, ND; her siblings: Clarabel Fazekas, Wayne Gebur, and Janice Rood.

Preceding her in death were her parents and siblings: Dallas Gebur and Claudia Hunt.
