Diana L. Shrewsbury

Diana Shrewsbury, 56, of Munich, ND passed away Friday, May 8, 2015 at her home in Munich.

Diana Lynn was born December 29, 1958 to Edward, Sr. and Edna (Loreth) Waslaski in Langdon, ND. After high school she moved to Nebraska where she raised her family. She married Jay Shrewsbury on January 17, 1990. Around 1998, they moved back to North Dakota, eventually making their home in Munich where Jay still resides. Diana enjoyed baking for family and friends. The Elkins grandchildren are going to miss her giant monster cookies. She also enjoyed crafts and making floral arrangements. She loved shopping for family and friends leaving Jay to carry the bags. Family was always important to Diana. It was important to her to spend as much time as possible with her mother as well as talking with her sisters.

Diana worked at the Munich school as a teacher’s aide for a few years. She enjoyed working with children- children were her passion. Diana and Jay were very much involved in their community.

Diana is survived by her mother, Edna Waslaski; her husband and best friend, Jay Shrewsbury; father-in-law Bill Shrewsbury; children: Mandy (Tucker) Greeve, Chad Whaley, Justin (Amy), Rhett (Erin), Latava (Chris) Sanders, Klete (Meagan), Brice (Misty); 17 grandchildren; sisters: Brenda (Ed) Deckard, Veronica (Ron) Elkins, Judy (Jim) Shipley, Edie Waslaski; brothers: Ed (daughter Brittney) and Shane; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Chet Whaley, nephew Christopher Deckard, and her father, Ed Waslaski, Sr.

Diana died peacefully at home after several years of illness and suffering. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Services for Diana will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Brooks Funeral Home Chapel in Langdon, ND with fellowship following the service at Munich City Hall in Munich, ND.
