Dennis Jon Plummer

Dennis Jon Plummer, 64, of Langdon, ND, passed away on May 9, 2026, near Mason, TX.

Dennis was born on February 8, 1962, in Langdon, ND, to Ostle and Betty (Zarn) Plummer. He grew up on the family farm and attended school in Hannah, ND. During high school, Dennis played all four years of basketball and served as class president during his junior year. He graduated from Hannah Public School in 1980 as part of the final graduating class before the school closed.

Dennis attended North Dakota State College of Science. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working custom combining during the summer months before beginning his career with United Communications. Dennis dedicated 36 years of service to United Communications, where he worked his way up to network manager before retiring in 2022. Through the years, he built many lasting friendships and was known for his strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to help others.

Dennis found great joy in golfing and rarely missed an opportunity to be on the course, participating in nearly every golf league in Langdon. During the summer months, he enjoyed making memories at his camper at Devils Lake, where he spent countless hours fishing, relaxing outdoors, and spending time with friends and family. During the winter months, Dennis escaped the North Dakota cold and traveled to Texas, where he cherished the warmth, friendships, and time spent with loved ones. He was happiest spending time at the lake or out on the golf course.

Dennis was known for his easygoing personality, quick conversations, and the friendships he maintained throughout his life. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and the many conversations, rounds of golf, and memories shared with those who knew him.

Dennis is survived by his son, Dustin (Amanda) Plummer, and grandchildren: Dylan, Alexander, and Oliver Plummer - all of Minot, ND; brothers Douglas (Linda) Plummer and Dale (Diana) Plummer - both of Langdon, ND; sister Darla Halgren of Hillsboro, ND; sister-in-law Judi Plummer of Peoria, AZ; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ostle and Betty Plummer; his brother, David Plummer; and brother-in-law John Halgren.
