Dennis Howatt, age 60, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2018, at his home near Langdon, ND.

Dennis was born Nov 17, 1957, in Langdon, ND, to Lyle and Genevieve (Mayer) Howatt. He grew up and went to school in the Langdon area. After finishing school, he continued to live and work on the family farm. Later in life, he worked for Chris and Tom Olson, enjoying his time working the fields.

Dennis lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures: spending time with friends at the Mt. Carmel Dam, four-wheeling through the Pembina Hills, and chatting with neighbors and family. He always wore a baseball cap, had a smile on his face and loved being around people.

Dennis is survived by his siblings: Cathy (Terry) Metzger of Valley City, ND, Dean Howatt of Anchorage, AK, and Joan (Todd) Nowek of Edina, MN; nephews Shannon (Kelli) Metzger of Fargo, ND, and Bill (Cami) Metzger of Towner, ND; niece Erika (Ben) Parker of Wasilla, AK; great-nephews: Colton Metzger and brothers Kavan and Kaydn Rufus; and great-nieces Jessi Metzger, Kaitlyn Metzger, and sisters Elise and Richelle Parker. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Genevieve (Mayer) Howatt.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Langdon, ND. Visitation will take place one hour prior to service time at the church.
