Deloris E. Mathison

Deloris E. Mathison, 94, of Walhalla, ND passed away Saturday, January 19, 2019 at the Pembilier Nursing Center, Walhalla, ND. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Walhalla Lutheran Church, Walhalla, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Walhalla Ambulance Service.

Deloris E. McNamara was born April 15, 1924 at Leroy, ND to Vernard F. and Lillian (Junkin) McNamara. She grew up in the Leroy area and graduated from Walhalla High School. Deloris then worked as a welder in the shipyards in San Diego, CA.

On December 2, 1945, she married Allan Mathison at Long Beach, CA. After their marriage they returned to Walhalla. Deloris and Grace LaRocque together had a painting and wallpapering business know as Del-Gra Painting.

She was an active member of the Walhalla American Legion Auxiliary where she held several state offices. Deloris was also a member of the Walhalla Lutheran Church and W.E.L.C.A.

Survivors include her children: Audrey Beauchamp, West Fargo, ND, Brian (Anita) Mathison, and Corliss (Phil) Longtin, all of Walhalla; grandchildren: Becky (Joel) Grasl, Katie (Mike) Dietz; Seth (Lacey) Mathison, Michael, Bryce, and Morgan Mathison; Darrin (Lori) Longtin, Andrea (John) Schlosser, Jeramy Longtin; great-grandchildren: Jacob Grasl, Kijia and Malia Dietz, , Riley and Bowden Mathison, Christopher and Collin Longtin, Addilyn, Grady, and Quinn Schlosser.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Allan; son-in-law, Greg Beauchamp.
