Chad Markel

Chad Markel, 58, of Crystal, North Dakota, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at First Care Health Center in Park River, North Dakota.

Chad was born to Albert and Jean (Skaro) Markel on November 2, 1967, in Grafton, ND. He grew up in the St. Thomas areas and graduated from Valley High School in Hoople, ND.

He worked for Oberg Farms and Barry Kingsbury Farm at Grafton, ND.

Chad is survived by his father, Albert Markel and brothers, Doug Markel and Andy Markel, all of St. Thomas.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Markel.

A graveside service will take place in the spring.
