Carol Schluchter

Carol J. Schluchter, 77, of Grafton, ND, formerly of Neche, ND, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at her home in Grafton. Memorial service will be held Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held for one hour before the time of the service.

Carol was born June 18, 1941 at the Deaconess Hospital in Grafton, ND, to Leonard and Cecilia (French) Sass. She grew up in Grafton and graduated from Grafton High School. In October of 1978, Carol married Daniel Schluchter. After their marriage, they lived in Inglewood, CA, where she was a teacher’s aide at the Inglewood Unified School District for 18 years. After they retired in 1995, Carol and Daniel moved to Vancouver, WA, where Carol took care of her mother. In 2002, they moved to Neche, ND.

Carol was an active member of the Neche Senior Center. Some of the things she enjoyed were crocheting, knitting, sewing, and crossword puzzles.

Carol is survived by her children: Thomas (Mayette) Schluchter, Inglewood, CA, and Susan Prittie, Londonderry, NH; grandchildren: Seth and Hana Prittie; and sister, Mary Jane Olson, Vancouver, WA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Daniel; and sisters, Pat Graf and Susan Einarson.
